As the US mortality rate for the Corona virus now exceeds 200,000 deaths, it should also be noted that the US has one of the highest death rates in the World from the pandemic: more than twice as high per capita as Canada, nearly 20 times higher than in Australia, and more than 100 times higher per capita than in New Zealand.
So as the wealthiest nation on Earth, the US did an astonishingly abysmal job dealing with the current pandemic relative to most of the rest of the world.
