Hydrogen from reformed methanol fuel cells would be better than using pressurized hydrogen or liquid hydrogen. The fuel is cheaper, easier to store.
Renewable methanol can be produced from biogas from urban sewage and from farm animal feces.
Urban garbage can also be a source of methanol.
And dead trees and fire hazardous foliage from forest can also be used to produce methanol.
Eventually, remotely sited floating nuclear reactors could be used to produce methanol directly from seawater or through the production of hydrogen from seawater synthesized with CO2 imported by tanker ships from the burning of biowaste from cities, farms, and forest.
